Looking up at the moonless sky, Mikan smiled. For once in her life, her mission was accomplished flawlessly. She would return to the Lands of Angels soon. Her body started glowing as she let her blunt nails turn into claws. Since Natsume already knew her role as one of the Angels of Death, she wouldn't need to hide her true appearance. The glow around her form slowly dimmed but didn't disappear completely as she turned to Natsume. "Are you sure about this, Natsume?"
Natsume gazed at the angel he loved. He knew he shouldn't let her go, but he had no right to keep her either. "Should I spell it out for you?"

Mikan giggled. "No."

As her giggle subsided, she gave him a genuine smile. "Thank you, Natsume."

"Hn."

Several hours after sunrise, Natsume had come to her, asking her to go on a date with him. They had been to an amusement park, where they played and tried every ride. True, she had lived for a long time, but she had never known what dating was like. For them, angels didn't date. They had family, but once their son or daughter was old enough to decide their own partner, the family wouldn't take part of their lives anymore. As for her father and mother's union, it was under Kami-sama's demand since both leagues didn't get along so well. She and Akira were the symbol of peace between the leagues.

Once they returned home, Natsume had decided to let her go. However, she would have to promise that she would come back to him. Even without him asking, she would surely come back for him. She stepped closer to Natsume and took his right hand. While holding his hand, her black wings appeared behind her back. Her royal Sakura symbol glowed as she closed her eyes and said a few ancient words.

Within seconds, Natsume felt something solid in his hand. Once she released her hold, he saw a necklace with a Sakura pendant. He looked up at her in confusion.

She smiled. "You don't have to wear it, Natsume. As long as you have it with you, I'll know where to find you, and you will be able to call me."

"Anytime?" he asked while raising an eyebrow.

With a nod, she replied, "Anytime."

Once she received his nod, she stepped back from him. "I…"

"What is it?"

She frowned. "I don't feel like saying goodbye."

He smirked. "Then don't say it."

"Well, I guess I'll say 'see you' then." She grinned.

"Hn," he replied before moving forward and pulling her into a deep kiss. Unlike their first kiss, this one was slow as they were taking their time to memorize everything about each other. Once they broke apart for air, he whispered into her ear, "Come back soon."

Still hugging him, she whispered back, "I will."

This time, they stepped away from one another. "See you, Natsume."

Natsume watched Mikan close her eyes and spread her black wings wide before taking off into the night sky. Once he could not see her glowing form anymore, he murmured, "See you, Mikan."
