#01: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

Persona quietly hissed in pain as he held his right shoulder.
Mikan’s eyes darted to her brother, and she immediately examined his shoulder. "Nii-san, you're wounded! Let's go to the hospital!"
Before she could drag him, he smiled. "After reporting the status of my mission, Otou-san told me that you were already in this school."
She frowned. "You need to treat your wound first! I don't want anything happen to you, Nii-san…"
He cupped her cheek. "Hey, I'm okay. I didn't go through all the trouble of getting you to see your frown, but your smile, Imouto-san."
Resigned, she heaved a small sigh. "Okay. But, please let me heal your wound first."
She took her mask off and offered him a small smile. He agreed readily by leaning against one of trees. She then held her hands on his wound and started healing his wound.
"Shouda, I must say that you are lucky today," Hotaru began. No one responded to her, but still, she continued, "You should be grateful that Persona-sensei came just at the right moment to help you. Otherwise, you would be hospitalised by now."
"Imai-san, do you and Sakura-san know each other?" Iinchou asked nervously.
Hotaru impassively replied him, "Childhood friends."
"Ohhh…" The class said in unison.
Narumi-sensei cleared his throat to get the class's attention. "Class, I will have to tell you everything. To tell you the truth, Mikan-chan should have joined us five years ago, not two years ago. She was sent to the training camp. The training was supposedly for three years, but due to her strong Alices and being the Head Principal's daughter, she was sent to Gakuen Alice of United States for another two years.” He paused for a while. "Mikan-chan has two powerful Alices, which are Nullification and SCE or the ability to steal, copy, and erase Alices. To answer Koko's question just now… He can't read her mind because of her Nullification Alice. And of course, this will place her in the DA Class." He turned to look at Sumire. "Shouda-san, try not to aggravate her. I don't think that anyone can help you if you get into trouble again."
"She's not in her serious mood yet, so you were quite lucky today," Hotaru added nonchalantly.
Not in her serious mood? What if she's in her serious mood? The class thought at the same time and started imagining what Mikan would do if she was in her so-called 'serious' mood. They shivered in horror and terror at the same time.
"Now, she will need a partner…" Narumi-sensei said, interrupting the pondering class.
Every one of them mentally screamed, Mikan Sakura's partner? Please don't pick me!
Training camp, eh? No wonder she's like that, Natsume concluded before mentally kicking himself. Why I am thinking about her now? I shouldn't think about that bastard's sister!
His train of thought was interrupted by Narumi.
"Ah! Natsume-kun, how about you? Will you become Mikan-chan's partner?"
Everyone mentally gasped. Natsume Hyuuga as Mikan Sakura's partner? Is he crazy?
Natsume stared at his homeroom teacher with a blank face. Become her partner? Hm… It can be quite interesting to know the little girl, but…
"I suggest not to pick any partner for her especially Hyuuga because Mikan doesn't seem to be in a good terms with him," Hotaru told the teacher impassively.
Narumi-sensei smiled. "I think Natsume-kun can handle it. Right, Natsume-kun?"
Natsume turned to read his manga again. "Whatever."
Persona nodded. "I was about to save a girl from the AAO, but I accidentally let my guard down. I was too tired, so I failed to bring her back to the school."
She furrowed her brows. "A girl? Who is she?" she asked, interested in the mission. "Since I'm already here, I can help you," she offered.
He gazed at her. "Her name is Aoi Hyuuga. His brother used to help me do missions. He's also in your class."
"He's in my class? His name?"
"Natsume Hyuuga. His Alice is fire."
She blinked. Wait! Natsume? That moron! What a coincidence…
"Oh, I know him," she said dully before asking, "When are you going to save Aoi-chan again?"
He looked a little unsure. "The mission is quite dangerous."
"Nii-san, I also went on missions while I was in America. Their missions are probably far more dangerous than this," she said, assuring him that she could do it.
"Come with me tomorrow night at 10 if you insist."
Her face remained emotionless, but her eyes were smiling. "I insist."
He only shook his head in mock dismay, and they stayed quiet for a long while.
"Nii-san, did you meet Okaa-san when you went on the mission?"
He shook his head. "Why?"
"Through a dream, Okaa-san told me that she will come back soon."
He looked at his sister. "And?"
She shook her worries away. "I can't wait to see her again."
"Okaa-san never breaks her promises. I'm sure it will happen soon."
"Yeah…" She then glanced at her wristwatch. "Nii-san, I need to get You-chan for lunch now."
"Then, I will be heading back to my room and to get some rest."
She nodded in approval. "Good. Have a nice rest, Nii-san. I'll see you later."
With that said, they parted. Mikan put on her mask again. Now, I only need to tell You-chan about Okaa-san.

After healing her brother, she gazed into his crimson eyes. "How was your mission, Nii-san? Was it that hard that you got wounded this badly?"Persona nodded. Persona and Mikan are very good siblings. From what I can guess, Persona is only nice to his family, especially his siblings, but cold to others. That's usually the case with the cold guys. Mikan and Persona are going to set out on a mission to save Aoi. Interesting!

Are you serious? I mean if their mother is Yuka than that is just impossible! When Yuka was in high school, Persona is already in elementary school. HOW THE HECK DID YUKA BECOME PERSONA'S MOTHER!
