My Little Secret: Chapter 6

#01: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

Not long after Mikan was thinking about what she could do as she was getting bored, Misaki-sensei finally joined them to start the lesson. She didn't hate Misaki-sensei, but she really wished the lesson would just end quickly so that she could meet her brothers. She sighed mentally. I hope everything would be fine like what Aki-kun told me. I wonder when Aki-kun will be arriving… I miss him. She exhaled and stared out of the open window of the classroom. The sakura tree is blooming. The sight of the blooming buds was astounding as spring crawled in. Maybe I should go there to play sometimes.
Everything around her passed in a blur.
When the school bell rang, Mikan sighed in relief. She turned to her best friend. "Hotaru, I want to get You-chan now. Do you want to come with me?"
"No," she grunted impassively before adding, "I need to go to my lab to finish my invention."
Then, the genius inventor thrust a communicator into her hands. "We can meet at dinner time. I'll call you again."
"I'll see you at dinner time then," she bid and flashed a small smile. I need to hurry. You-chan might get upset waiting for me now.
She started walking out of the room when a sandy-haired boy called out, "Sakura-san!"
When she halted, he continued, "Em… I'm Yuu Tobita. I'm the Class President. Everyone calls me Iinchou."
Mikan nodded in reply as she studied his appearance.
"If you—"
"I'm sorry. I need to get You-chan now," she interjected and disappeared through the door.
The Class President merely sighed, and Anna chirped, "Did you see that? She's not as scary as we think."
"She can be scary at times though," Anna shivered a little before adding, "But mostly, she's nice. Right?"
Mikan won't be like that if it wasn't for that damn training she went to. It's all AAO's fault! Hotaru thought furiously and walked out of the classroom.
"Sakura-san is really a nice person," Koko muttered to himself.
His friends’ eyes darted to him with questioning looks written over their faces.
"What are you talking about, Koko?" Nonoko asked, befuddled by his words and confidence.
"I read Imai-san's mind just now. She said Sakura-san became the person she is now due to her trainings," Koko replied with a shrug.
"She must have been lonely during her training. I heard that when you are in the training camp, you can't contact anyone, even your family," Anna muttered unhappily.
I went to the training camp, too. Though, it was just for a short while…Natsume thought knowingly. I really hate this academy…
"But hey, she's not alone now," Nonoko exclaimed suddenly. "We can be her friends."
"We should get her to dine with us!" Anna piped in.
"That's a good idea. Let's ask Imai-san if we can join their table."
Natsume merely stared at them stoically. The fact that the academy had changed her to a cold person displeased him. Without saying a word, he left the classroom with Ruka.

Mikan was surprised at what she was seeing at the moment. Youichi was surrounded by so many girls. She stared the scene in front of her and shrugged inwardly. I can't deny that he's cute. He's only five. I wonder how he'll be like when he's older. I bet he's going to be a very handsome boy.
She then leaned against the door with her arms folded. The wild crowd of fan girls surrounding Youichi got more aggressive by the minute, questioning him non-stop.
"Youichi-sama! Who's the girl that having lunch with you today?"
"Yeah, yeah! Who is she?"
"She's really pretty! Is she your girlfriend, Youichi-sama?"
"Please be mine instead, she's too old for you!"
They're just five years old and already know about the boyfriend and girlfriend thing. Mikan shook her head in disbelief.
"Mind your own business," Youichi growled emotionlessly. His cute face remained stoic and impatiently added, "Go away."
Mikan was shocked. Since when did You-chan become that cold? I hope it's not because of me…
"Kyaaaa! Youichi-sama is so cool."
"I love you, Youichi-sama! I love you!" His fans cried out crazily.
Mikan sweat dropped. The girls weren't even afraid of his threat…
"Go away!" he repeated as his voice crooned. "Are you deaf or something?"
Mikan was frowning now. Who taught him those words?
What Natsume-nii-chan said was damn right, fan girls are really annoying! Curse you deranged fan girls, Youichi thought angrily.
Mikan, who read Youichi's mind, scoffed. That Hyuuga! He's the one who taught him? I need to change You-chan for the better so that he won't become like that Hyuuga.
She had heard enough, so it was time to leave. As soon as she cleared her throat, everyone turned silent.
Onee-chan's finally here! Youichi sighed in relief and ran towards her. "Onee-chan!"
Onee-chan? She is Youichi-sama's older sister! The girls thought in unison.
"What were you doing, Onee-chan? You didn't forget about me, did you?" You-chan pouted.
You-chan is too cute to resist, Mikan thought as she tried to fight the urge to grin at him. "I'm sorry, You-chan. Onee-chan had a little distraction on the way…"
Mikan could see that he was happy that her presence made the fan girls back off. She giggled inwardly as he reminded her of herself. She was cold to everyone, but she often found herself being surrounded by fan boys, too. Luckily for her, they didn't dare make a move on her. They were smart enough to remember her dangerous Alices.
"Are you ready to go now, You-chan?" she asked him gently.
"Let's go, Onee-chan!" Youichi nodded and pulled her out from the classroom.
"See you tomorrow, Youichi-sama!" The girls chorused happily, waving towards him.
My little You-chan is really popular among the girls. Mikan smiled to herself. He's definitely not alone.
