#07: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

'Natsume…' Mikan called after a long silence.
Natsume looked at her eyes. "I will not repeat myself so listen carefully. Yesterday, Imai suggested that we try to go about the magical way to break your curse."

She stared at him in disbelief. 'You agreed to help me? But, we don't even—'

"Silence!"

She was startled by his raised voice.

He sighed. "Don't interrupt when I'm still explaining."

She nodded slowly.

"I've thought about it; I'll help you. I don't even know why myself, but I will… Do you understand the magical way that Imai was talking about?"

She shook her head.

He pondered how to explain it to her. It was not that he hated it, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her. It would sound so childish and not to mention very embarrassing.

"Sleeping beauty," he stated indifferently and looked away from Mikan. He refused to give more details about how it would be done.

Realizing where their conversion had led to, she gasped and then blushed ten shades of red. I can't do that!

Slowly, she gazed at Natsume, who looked away from her. Part of his handsome face was revealed for her. She traced her eyes over his raven hair, eyes, nose and down to his lips…

Feeling as though he was being stared at, he turned around and narrowed his eyes at her.

She blushed again as she was caught.

He smirked. "Did you find something interesting on my face?"

She blushed harder. 'N-n-no. I'm sorry.'

What a waste… he thought silently, and now it was his turn to look at her. Even though they did sleep together, but he never really did look at her face carefully. Her long brown hair, eyes… Unconsciously, he reached out to caress her rosy cheeks, and she gasped in surprise. Surprisingly, she didn't move away from his touch. They only stared into each other's eyes as he leaned closer, closer, closer and…

BANG!

Startled, both of them instantly distanced themselves from each other.

Unknown to them, the group was spying on them. They were also startled by the loud bang of the door.

"Curse you," Hotaru muttered darkly.

The rest of the group gulped nervously by the black aura she was creating. Deciding to see what was happening, the group also went to Mikan's room.

Standing before the door was none other than Narumi-sensei himself. He grinned. "Did I interrupt something?"

Mikan blushed.

YES! Natsume replied mentally.

That was when the group came; Hotaru shot Narumi-sensei with her Baka Gun.

Natsume smirked with satisfaction.

Narumi-sensei rubbed his now bruised forehead while laughing nervously. He sweat dropped when everyone stared at him. "Ah, I'm looking for you, Natsume-kun. Your father has requested for your presence."

Father? Did I do something wrong? he thought before getting up slowly from his seat. He looked at Mikan and spoke through his inner heart, "We will continue this later."

Mikan, who was still looking at him, nodded in reply.

Natsume nodded in reply and walked out of her room together with Narumi. Suddenly, he had a bad feeling about this.

Not long after Natsume left, Mikan was called by Persona-sensei's through her limitation Alice devices. She sighed and went to change.

'I'm going, Minna-san.' She smiled at the group as she grabbed her mask.

The group looked at her with worry before smiling at her. "Have a safe trip, Mikan-chan."

With a nod, she left. After a few minutes of jumping from tree to tree, Mikan landed on the ground with a soft thump.

A figure started materializing, and she bowed slightly. 'Good day, Persona-sensei.'

"Good day, Shirou Yuki," Persona said and gazed at Mikan. "I believe you have done what you should do with the new student."

'Yes, Persona-sensei.'

"Have you analyzed it?"

'Yes. He has the forth type Alice.'

"You know what you should do, right?"

Without any more words, Mikan set aside her right hand, and slowly, a fire blade was created.

"Very good." Persona smirked. "Nobara."

A girl appeared before them.

Slowly, he walked away from the two girls. "The training will be ended when one of you pass out."

As Persona disappeared completely, Nobara and Mikan smiled at each other. An ice blade created on Nobara's right hand, and they bowed at each other.

"Please take care of me, Mikan-chan," Nobara said.

Mikan nodded. 'Same with me, Nobara-chan.'

With that the training began.

After he found his father, he saluted, "Father."

His father Shuichi Hyuuga looked at him and nodded in reply. A red-haired girl stood beside his father.

"I have came to make sure you will take care of her," his father said.

The girl stepped forward. "Hajimemashite, Natsume. My name is Mitsuki Kurokawa."

After noting her aquamarine eyes, Natsume told himself, The only daughter of Kurokawa family.

"Hajimemashite, Kurokawa-san."

"No, no, you don't have to call me Kurokawa. Mitsuki is okay."

"She will attend this school together with you," stated his father.

Natsume stayed silent.

Mitsuki smiled. "Please take care of me, Natsume."

"It's my pleasure."

"And one more thing, Natsume," Shuichi said while looking into Natsume's eyes. "She's your fiancée."
