The group became silent. They also heard what Natsume's father had said just now because Hotaru had attached a small device in Natsume's bracelet before he went out from the room. Of course, Natsume didn't notice it.
Mikan… the group thought sadly. They didn't know how Mikan would take the news.

What? Did I hear it right? My fiancée? He looked at father questioningly, but after a few minutes of silence, he sighed mentally. His father would not joke about this matter but… What about Mikan? Unconsciously, Natsume's inner heart called for her, "Mikan…"

Mikan was panting hard as sweats ran down on her face. Her heart ached, and the fire blade vanished instantly. She clutched her heart as she replied to the call, "Natsume…"

Everything went black before she saw Nobara, who was running towards her.

It had been three days, and Mikan was still unconscious. The group became more anxious as they started wondering what happened to her. Everyone in the school already knew about Mitsuki as Natsume's fiancée except for Mikan.

"You have tainted our pure blood!"

"You are no longer welcome to this family!"

…

"You will be exiled from this family!"

…

Mikan's eyes snapped open and sat up immediately. Panting hard, she blinked her eyes in the dark room. Where am I?

She then remembered her last encounter with Nobara. Her head was hurting, and she screamed in pain.

The group, including Natsume, was startled and immediately went to her room. What greeted them was Mikan was crying while clutching her head. When they tried to approach her, they were repelled by the barrier around her. They tried to call for her, but she made no move.

"Mikan…" Natsume's inner heart called.

Mikan slowly turned to look at the group.

They froze when they saw a six-pointed star on her forehead.

Just before Mikan fainted, she looked at Natsume with teary eyes as her inner heart called him, "Natsume…"

Koko looked at Hotaru meaningfully. "Hotaru…"

The rest of the group looked at him quizzically.

Hotaru looked at Mikan. "I know."

Natsume stayed silent with Mitsuki, who sat beside him. No one liked the fact she was inside Mikan's room, but since she just sat there quietly and kept her thoughts to herself, they didn't bother with her.

Mikan Sakura… Mitsuki gazed at Natsume, who, as usual, ignored her. She smiled mentally. You really love her, am I right?

Koko's eyes widened slightly after he read Mitsuki's thought. He didn't know Mitsuki would accept the situation about Natsume's feelings easily.

Sakura… why does that name sounds familiar…? Mitsuki thought while looking at Mikan. She kept looking through her memories as she tried to remember where she heard that name before. After a few minutes, she felt something hit her head really hard. Her eyes widened, and she gasped, earning a bewildered look of the group. Realizing her action, she clamped her hands on her own month and gave apologetic look to everyone. She sweat dropped when the group stared at her suspiciously. She gulped nervously. "May I?"

It was Hotaru, who replied her, "You may."

Mitsuki her gave a small smile. "I don't know what happened right now, but I would like to ask, where does Sakura-san comes from?"

Natsume raised an eyebrow as he listened to Mitsuki's question.

The group was confused as they thought in unison, Huh?

"Do you have something on your mind, Kurokawa-san?" Hotaru inquired.

"I have a feeling that I know something about Sakura-san," Mitsuki replied hesitantly.

The group became even more confused now.

Mitsuki turned to look at Ruka. "Ruka-kun, have you heard about The Forbidden Family before?"

The Forbidden Family? Natsume thought in surprise.

Silence filled the room.

Ruka nodded. "Yes. It was a forbidden topic among royal families. Why?"

"Actually, my mother told me about this Forbidden Family," Mitsuki began, and everyone started paying more attention to her.

"Continue," Natsume spoke for the first time.

Startled, Mitsuki smiled at him. I was right, you do love her…

"Please don't tell anyone about this. I don't know what will happen to my family if—"

"Our lips are sealed," Koko interrupted, and everyone nodded in agreement.

Mitsuki smiled. "The Kurokawa family is one of the royal families that don't like the idea of this Forbidden Family, so our ancestors have passed down this knowledge to us. It's about a family that was known as the most royal and noble among all the royal families. Other royal families respected and looked up to this family. There was no conflict between royal families until one of this family's member fell in love with a demon. I know it's kind of an unbelievable story…"

She felt so stupid for talking about this. Taking a deep breath, she continued, "Demons are evil things that will never be accepted by the royal society. Other royal families felt this relationship would taint their pure blood, so they tried to convince this family to exile the one member who had fallen in love with the demon. But of course, this family refused. 'No matter what happens, they would stay together as a family' was their reply to the other royal families."

She sighed. "My mother said that no one dared to object when this decision was made. The whole of this family was exiled from the clan of the royal families. It happened more than hundred years ago. The elders of the royal families had decided to make this topic a taboo. They treated it as an unspeakable sin from the royal blood."

She looked at Mikan. "And the name of the forbidden family is… the Sakura Family."
