#05: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

Mikan looked at the clock on the bed table. "I have to go back to my room before we go to class, Natsume."

"I’ll fetch you once I'm done," Natsume replied and walked back to the bathroom.

Mikan gathered her clothes and started dressing. Once she was done, she quickly walked back to her room. When she reached her room, Ren greeted her as usual.

"Morning, Ren," Mikan greeted back.

"The bathroom is ready for you, Mikan-sama."

"Thank you, Ren." Mikan immediately went to the bathroom. But, she stopped in front of the door and pondered for a while before saying, "Update Natsume Hyuuga in the green file, Ren."

Ren closed her eyes in a few seconds before telling her, "Update successful, Mikan-sama."

"Good, he will be coming shortly. You know what you should do."

"Hai, Mikan-sama."

Mikan smiled and went to the bathroom for real to enjoy her bath that was prepared by Ren. This was the reason why she had never late for school. Ren always tended to her needs though it was the only reason why she was created, to make her life more convenient.

Minutes later, Natsume stared at the door. When he was about to knock the door, the door was already opened wide for him. He blinked his eyes in confusion. Still, he walked inside, and the door closed by itself.

Before he could think what was happening, a feminine voice greeted him, "Good morning, Natsume-sama."

He almost jumped in surprise because he didn't see anyone in the room. He then saw a set of computer that was not far from him. A girl's face was shown on the screen.

The girl smiled. "Nice to meet you, Natsume-sama. I was created by Mikan-sama as her computer assistant. Ren is my name."

His eyes widened as he just realised how genius his girlfriend was. He sighed mentally. No wonder a lot of guys want her even though she was a nerd.

Too bad, she's mine now. He smirked arrogantly.

He was brought to reality when Ren asked, "What do you prefer for your breakfast, Natsume-sama?"

"Breakfast?" he repeated dumbly.

Ren smiled. "Hai, Natsume-sama. I was programmed to help Mikan-sama including making breakfast."

He blinked.

Ren stared at him, and that was when Mikan finished her bath. She was out of the bathroom with fresh uniform.

"Is everything okay with you, Mikan-sama?" Ren asked with a smile when Mikan approached Natsume.

"You're the best, Ren," Mikan replied.

Natsume turned to stare at Mikan.

Mikan stared back and silence filled the room. "Natsume?" she asked worriedly after a few minutes.

Natsume snapped out his train of thoughts. "What?"

"Are you all right?"

"Yeah, why?" Natsume said and looked away from her.

Mikan turned to look at Ren, who also looked at her. After a few moments, Mikan chuckled.

Natsume looked at Mikan and raised an eyebrow, silently asking her what was wrong. To his dismay, she ignored him.

Sitting down on one of the chairs, Mikan commanded, "Prepare two sets of Breakfast A, Ren."

Ren smiled. "Right away, Mikan-sama."

"Please take a sit, Natsume. There's something that I need to tell you." Mikan smiled at Natsume.

That drew his attention, and he sat himself across from her.

Their breakfasts were served shortly.

"What is it?" Natsume asked as he started eating his breakfast.

"I will depart for America tonight," Mikan began.

He stopped eating and gazed at her.

Before she could continue, her computer started crying.

Mikan, who already stopped eating, dropped her fork gently and sighed. "Who is it, Ren?"

"It was from your assistant, Mikan-sama."

"Granted."

Natsume stayed silent, and a male voice greeted them, "Good morning, Mikan-sama."

Natsume noticed the so called assistant of his girlfriend was speaking in English.

Mikan replied him in English, too. "Good morning, Richard. What is it?"

"My deepest apologies, Mikan-sama. I just want to remind you that you will have three meetings with the CEO of the company from New York, Canada and Australia tomorrow."

"Yes. Thank you for reminding me," Mikan said plainly.

"Everything will be prepared for your arrival. Have a nice day, Mikan-sama."

"Thank you, Richard," Mikan said, ending the call.

Silence filled the room.

Nastume got up from the seat and walked a few steps away. The information he just heard just now was kind of too much for him to take in. How could he call himself her boyfriend when he knew nothing about her? He just realised how little he knew about her.

It was Mikan who broke the silence. "I will tell you everything about me, Natsume."

When he made no move, Mikan got up from her seat and approached Natsume. She hugged him tightly from behind while closing her eyes.

Natsume turned around. He then held her nape with his right hand while the other held her waist. Pulling her closer to him, he leaned down and immediately assaulted her lips with his. The kiss became more heated each second. Their uniform had wrinkled everywhere as they were attacking each other to gain control. Their eyes were clouded with desire for each other.

He broke their breathless session hastily as he had promised himself that he wouldn't touch her until she was ready. He hugged her as he breathed, "Mine."

Mikan, who tried to calm her breathing, smiled against his chest. She hugged him back and murmured, "Yours."

"Come," he said after they broke the hug.

She quickly turned towards Ren. "I leave the room for you, Ren."

"Yes. Have a nice day, Mikan-sama, Natsume-sama," Ren replied with a smile.

When they walked out from the dorm, everyone started gossiping with each other. Holding each other's hands, he pulled her passed the school building.

"Natsume?" She looked at him, puzzled.

"Date," he stated shortly.

She smiled and hugged his arm as they went to the Central Town.

Every pair of eyes who saw them together would either look at them with smile or jealously.

Hours later, Mikan smiled at Natsume. "Thank you for the wonderful date, Natsume."

Natsume stood still beside her. Not far from him were Hotaru, Sumire and Akira. Shiro was also there to see her off.

Mikan chatted idly with her two best friends for a while before hugging them both. "See you later, girls."

She smiled at Akira and Shiro and received a nod from them. She then hugged Natsume with a smile. "See you, Natsume."

"Come back soon," he whispered very softly. She broke the hug and nodded. With that, she took off.

Mikan let out a heavy sigh as she reached her office room. She just finished her meeting with the CEOs. She closed her eyes. Now, what to do with my date with Dave? She opened her eyes and stared up at the ceiling. I will just have to tell him the truth later. She finished her work quickly and went back to her mansion. Right after she was ready, he came.

Dave smiled while giving her a small bow. "It's good to see you again, Mikan-san."

"Yes, it's good to see you, too, Dave-san," she replied with a smile.

Together, they went to the scheduled restaurant.

Their dinner went without a hitch until Dave asked for another date with her after he drove her back to the mansion.

"I'm afraid I can't do this anymore, Dave-san," Mikan said seriously.

He smiled sadly. "Is that so? I guess I was a bit late to make you mine, huh?"

She smiled. "I'm sorry, Dave-san. I'm sure you will be able to meet your maiden one day."

His eyes widened in surprise and smiled. "Yeah. I would like to believe that. Thank you for the wonderful night."

"No. I should be the one thanking you," she said gratefully.

He smiled at her for the last time. "I guess I'll see you around, Mikan-san."

“Yes, I’ll see you around as well, Dave-san.”

With that said, he left. She closed the door of her mansion and sighed. She closed her eyes.

Meeting. Check.

Date. Check.

Her last task was Mission.

A few hours later, Mikan stood before the mirror. "Perfect." She smiled after scanning her black outfit. She teleported herself to the outside of her mansion and used her Speed Alice. After a few minutes, she reached the edge of the forest where someone was already waiting for her. She smiled. "Aniki!"

Persona stared at her for a moment. “...”

“...”

"Are you ready?" he finally asked.

She briefly scanned the mansion before them and nodded. "Yes."

It was easy for her to infiltrate the mansion as she hacked the security system of the mansion while making herself invisible. Once she was inside of the room of her target, she approached her target quietly. She stared at her target. Attacking someone who was sleeping was not her hobby, but it would make it easier for her. Once she revealed herself, she reached out to the heart of her target. However, she stopped mid-way when she felt the cold metal that was pressed against the back of her head.

Mikan grinned. "I'm sorry for being noisy."

"You must be Black Rose, the famous assassin from the academy."

She brought back her hands to her side. She smiled playfully in the dark. "Bingo!"

"Too bad. I won't let myself to be killed by the likes of you," he replied coldly.

After entering the room, she already knew the one on the bed was a dummy. She chuckled. "Unfortunately, you will be killed by the likes of me." Her target never realised what she did until it was too late.

He smirked as he pulled the trigger. "Don't you think that you're underestimating me?"

She smiled wider. "No." After a few seconds, she slowly turned around and smiled at him. "You're the one who's underestimating me."

Her replica had pointed her gun to his head. She closed her eyes and summoned her Alice. She opened her eyes and reached out for his heart. Her hands went through his body and his eyes widened in horror.

"Have a nice dream," she whispered before taking out her hands.

He instantly dropped to the floor, dead.

She stared at his lifeless body. "You should be happy to be killed by me since I didn't make you die in slow and painful manner." She had injected the most deadly poison into his body. This was how she did her task. She would make it as quick as possible. Torturing people who was going to die in her hands was not in her dictionary. She looked at her replica and took the gun. Her replica merged herself with her in count of seconds. She then immediately teleported back to the edge of the forest.

"Mission accomplished, Aniki," she reported lightly.

He replied her by looking at her face with great intensity. "Did something happen in Japan?"

She froze mentally but calmly replied, "No."

"Is that so?"

After a few minutes of silence, he offered a hand, "Return to your mansion."

She nodded and took his hand before teleporting back to her mansion immediately. She had teleported both of them to the balcony of her room. When she was about to take back her hand, he didn't let go. She was confused. "Aniki?"

Her heart beat faster when he pulled her closer to him and hugged her.

"You've changed, Mikan," he murmured.

Her eyes widened. He called her by her first name! Her mind went into panic state.

He closed his eyes as he tightened his embrace and whispered into her ear, "I missed you."

Her eyes widened even more when he started nibbling her neck. She shuddered and had to bite her lower lips to prevent herself from moaning. She began, "Ani—"

"Serio. Just call me Serio," he interjected softly. The next thing she knew, he broke the hug and kissed her on the lips.
