#05: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

Eyes widening, Mikan felt herself light-headed. She couldn't believe that the one she loved for so long was kissing her. She practically melted when he pulled her closer, embracing her. When Serio asked for entry, she gave in easily. He deepened the kiss, and she started kissing him back with the same intensity. The kiss grew even more heated. When he trailed his kisses down to her neck, she moaned, "Se-Serio…"

Serio smirked inwardly before breaking the kiss.

Her mind was clouded and slowly cleared when he hugged her. "Mikan."

She hummed and hugged back, she loved the way how he embraced her.

"I'll see you tomorrow morning." He kissed her forehead gently. "Good night."

"Good night," Mikan replied, and the warmth of his body left her.

He gave a peck on her swollen lips before disappearing from the sight.

She slowly slid down to the floor and touched her lips. She smiled upon the thought of seeing Serio the next day.

Meanwhile...

Natsume sighed as he stared up at the sky. Sighing was his new habit after Mikan left to America. Of course, he only sighed out loud when no one was around. He looked at the balcony beside him. He looked down to his hand that was holding a set of keys. It was her keys. She had left them to him. He looked thoughtfully at the balcony door. He gripped the key lightly before jumping to the balcony next to him. The balcony door automatically opened after a few seconds. The room was lightened dimly as Ren greeted him. He grunted a reply and dragged himself to her bedroom. He laid himself down to the bed and took a deep breath. The scent of her body filled his tired mind and calmed the tension of his body. He let his eyelids close, and he slowly fell asleep after two days.

He caressed her cheeks gently before bringing his lips near her right ear and whispered, "I hope to see you again, Mikan."

Mikan closed her eyes and let her emotion go. "Me, too, Serio."

He kissed her cheek and let her go.

She caught his hand and squeezed it. "I'll be back. I promise." She then kissed his cheek before leaving.

Serio stared at the spot where Mikan had just disappeared. His body slowly faded as he murmured, "Definitely." I will not let Kuro Neko have you, Mikan.

"Welcome home, Mikan-sama," Ren greeted.

Mikan smiled. "I'm back, Ren."

"Mikan-sama?"

Mikan walked towards the kitchen and after she took a carton of milk from the fridge, she replied, "What is it?"

"Natsume-sama is in your bedroom, Mikan-sama."

Mikan froze as her face turned pale.

Ren looked at her creator worriedly. "Are you alright, Mikan-sama?"

Mikan gulped down the milk with uneasy feeling and put the carton on the table. She whispered, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Ren only looked at her creator with puzzled face.

Mikan sat herself down on the chair. After calming down, she stood up and slowly walked to her bedroom. She opened and closed the door silently after slipping inside the room. She walked towards the sleeping teenage boy and smiled when she saw his serene face, but her smile was wiped off from her face after a few moments. Tears started forming in her eyes. How could she betray Natsume with the one she promised to forget? Natsume loved her so much, but she was momentarily blinded by Serio’s attention and didn't realise she had betrayed Natsume’s trust.

She should have pushed Serio away when he kissed her, but her body somehow acted otherwise. She did truly long for Serio. She wanted to be loved by Serio. She balled her fists tightly and closed her eyes. Tears started streaming down her face. After a moment, she felt a warm hand wiped her tears away. She opened her eyes, glassy with tears.

He looked at her questioningly.

Not wanting him to worry, she quickly wiped her tears and threw herself at him. "I missed you."

His eyes widened for a moment before sighing in relief. He almost thought he was dreaming. He smiled and hugged his love back. "Why the tears?"

She hugged him tighter. "I'm crying because I missed you, baka neko."

He sighed. He wouldn't argue with her. He whispered into her ear, "I missed you, too, Mikan."

They broke the hug slowly. Wiping the last drop of her tears, he leaned in and kissed her lips. She leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss was long and slow. Unconsciously, they had stripped each other's clothes until they were naked. The room was filled with their heavy breaths, moans and groans. Both minds were clouded with lust.

Despite the burning desire, Natsume gritted his teeth and stopped himself from going further. He clenched his fists and shut his eyes. This was not what he was planning. Yes, he wanted her, and that was one thing he wouldn't deny but to continue would be wrong. He knew her heart was not yet his.

Mikan opened her eyes slowly when she felt him stop. She looked up at him who was still on top of her. She touched his cheeks. She looked at his closed eyes then realised he was hesitating. She smiled. He was so considerate to her. "Natsume…" she whispered softly.

He slowly opened his eyes and stared down at her.

She could see his eyes that were filled with desire. She knew he really wanted her.

"Please don't reject me again," she said softly.

He looked at her strangely in reply and remembered their first made out.

"You think I rejected you?" he said in a disbelief voice.

She rolled her eyes. "Every girl will think the same thing."

"You have no idea," he said and laid himself beside her with a sigh.

She snuggled closer to him, and he hugged her naked body in response. "No idea of what?"

He smirked and repeated, "You have no idea."

She hummed before rising and sitting on top of him.

He groaned on how close their private area was. Feeling bold, she teased him by rubbing herself on him.

Not wanting to be teased anymore, he stopped her by holding her hips. He gritted his teeth. “Do not move.”

Disappointed, she told him, "All right, all right, I will stop moving. You can let me go me now."

He held still when she looked away from him. "Look at me, Mikan."

"Natsume, do you love me?" she asked suddenly. Her bangs covered her eyes.

"Huh?" he replied dumbly.

She repeated again, "Natsume, do you love me?"

He sighed. "I do love you. I love you so much that I couldn't hold myself back to have you."

"Then don't hold back and have me," she replied almost immediately.

He looked at her in surprise. "Mikan, I—"

"If you love me then make love with me, Natsume," she cut in.

He closed his eyes. "You will regret it."

She began, "How come you—"

"Because you're not in love with me," he interrupted her.

"I still want you to tell me how much you love me," she said while looking at him in the eye. So that I will not look at anyone but you.

"You really have no idea what you're talking about."

Hurt filled her eyes. Why? Why you don't want to help me forget him?

After a minute of silence, she suddenly stood in front of him with closed eyes.

He stared at her in disbelief. How could she get away from me without struggling?

"Get out," she said and turned her back to him.

He looked at her in shock. "W-what?"

She gritted her teeth. "Get out."

He approached her and when he was about to get her wrist, she yelled, "Don't touch me!"

He was more confused than before. He was clueless why she was so mad at him. "Look, I didn't—"

"I said get out!" she exclaimed angrily.

Silence filled the room.

"Look at me, Mikan."

“...”

"Look at me when you talk to me," he said again, raising his voice a bit.

Finally, she turned around and coldly said, "Get out."

He felt his heart beat in recognition. He was sure that he had seen that cold eyes before. Unfortunately, he couldn't recall where and when.

Neither sound nor movement was made after a few minutes. When she was about to tell him again, he moved and gathered his clothes. She closed her eyes as she readied herself to cry. This would be the best for him. She wanted to hurt him no more. He deserved someone who was better than her. After a click was heard from the door, silence filled the room. Tears dropped to the floor as she cried silently.

A few days had passed, but Mikan and Natsume hadn't talked to each other, or more precisely, they both felt awkward when they met and both didn't know what to say.

"Mikan-chan, are you all right?" Shiro asked worriedly.

Mikan had come to his office. Even though it was unusual for her to come, she was acting strange lately.

"I'm all right, Shiro-kun." She got up and made a clone of herself. "Go to the ability class."

"Yes," her clone replied before leaving the office. Mikan turned to Shiro. “Let me use your room.”

Shiro nodded wordlessly.

She walked towards a room that was located at the corner. After a few moments, she was out from the room, complete with her black suit. As she put her black mask, her eyes and hair changed to black. With that appearance, she left the office. Since she wanted some new changes, she walked to the ability class room without using her Teleportation Alice. She walked through the corridor of the classes. Some students who saw her started whispering at each other.

"I heard from Akira-san that she's the new adviser for the Dangerous Ability Class," one of boys told his friends.

"What is her Alice? She looks so arrogant to me," one of the girls replied.

Before the same boy could warn her to be polite, the book she was holding turned ashes.

They gasped and looked at Mikan, who looked back with cold eyes.

The girl's face turned pale immediately. "G-gomenasai, Sensei!"

Mikan left them without saying a word as she continued walking to the ability class. As soon as she stepped inside the classroom, all sounds ceased. She scanned the room. She saw Natsume, who was unusually present in the ability class, and her clone with her cousin Akira.

Every student set their eyes to their new adviser Black Rose or the professional assassin of the academy.

"I have set of new rules for this ability class. You will have a partner for training," Mikan began.

The class stared at her in disbelief, wondering if she was joking with them.

She ignored the stares and continued, "Help your partner strengthen his/her Alice." She took out a pack of small piece of papers from her pocket. After putting it on the table, she looked at the class again. The class stayed silent, and she snapped her fingers. All the papers floated and flew to each and every student's desk.

Natsume opened the small piece of paper on his desk. His eyes opened wide in shock before looking up at Mikan.

"Meet your partner and start the training right away on the scheduled place," she said demandingly.

The class gave signal to their new partner.

Bitch! One of the girls spat inwardly.

In count of seconds, Mikan replied through her Telepathy Alice, A bitch, am I?

The girl gasped in surprise and horror as she looked up at Mikan.

Everyone looked at her, confused and slightly concerned by her pale face.

Chills ran down the girl’s spine when Mikan told her with cold eyes, Be a good girl, or I will take your Alice.

"Start the training," she announced afterwards.

Without saying any word, the class did what they were told. Everyone, except for Natsume and Mikan, left.

Natsume put the piece of paper he was holding on his desk. BLACK ROSE was written on the paper.

Mikan smirked. "Nice to see you again, Kuro Neko."
