#35: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

"Dreaming?"...xXx...
Looking away, she blushed. "Yeah. After a few times, I came to realise those dreams were actually memories."
He closed his eyes briefly. It was foolish of him to think she had moved on. Obviously, she had been struggling with her temporary memory loss. It reminded him of the first time they met when Mikan didn't remember anything but her name. If he had known this beforehand, he would have gone to her first. But, it was too late for that now. What mattered to him was that she was here with him.
"After I remember everything, I went to rehab so that I could walk again. That's why it took me so long to come here."
Somehow, she made him feel guiltier for not having been there for her. "I'm sorry. Things were getting busy here." Lies! I don't have the courage to see you.
She shook her head. "It's okay. I know that you're always busy."
He felt as though someone had stabbed him in the chest.
A big smile was on her face as she added, "I'm happy that I can see you again."
Not wanting to lie anymore, he replied with a smile, "Me, too."
