#35: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)
...xXx...
Her humourless laugh brought him back from his sudden realisation. Seeing her dejected face made him feel uncomfortable. Sadness didn't suit her usual cheerful expression. He wished he could comfort her, but he knew he couldn't. No matter how many times he tried, his hand would go through her. "Why don't you talk to them? You can always tell them that you already like someone."...xXx...
Why he said that last part, he wasn't sure. But, somewhere deep in his heart, he was hoping that that person would be him. How ridiculous would that be? Both of them were strangers. They barely knew each other, yet… he couldn't deny the fact that he wouldn't mind having her as a friend. After all, they technically lived together for two weeks.
"I'm not really good at lying, so I have no choice but to go back. I mean, I can't run away forever…"
"…"
She then gave him a watery smile. "Once again, thank you!"
He watched her petite form slowly fade as he muttered, "You're welcome, Mikan…"
Having nothing to do, he left the hospital. The once lost ghost had found her place back, but why did he feel so lost now?
Aww. Poor Natsume. /3 I hope Mikan returns!
ReplyDeletePlease update. :)

Aw ;(
ReplyDeleteA rather...short chapter, like the other ones, but I guess its the author's choice in the end. Anyways, a good chapter, as it shows Natsume's longing to touch her and a sudden urge to make her smile.
ReplyDeleteSo, overall, good job :) But you could add more emotions, but I guess that might pose as a problem, as you have accounted for 200 words. But think upon it.
Anyways, good luck with the next chapters and keep writing :)
I feel bad for both of them. Natsume is struggling with his feelings for Mikan, while Mikan is facing her problems on her own. Why must they meet now? T_T
ReplyDeleteGah, this is just sad.
She just vanished and returned to her true body.. Wow.. o_o
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought something might happened first before she can return to her original body... .
But I hope everything turns out good for Mikan. D:
Aw, I love the irony here. That Natsume is now the lost one after Mikan leaves him - oh, the irony, really. I'm guessing he must have been feeling pretty lonely prior to his, err, encounter with Mikan? :)
ReplyDeleteLove how this story is going. The pace in each chapter is great for 200 words, and I'm loving everything that's happened and happening. You can fit so much awesomeness in 200 words.
ReplyDeleteApplause for you. :)
No no no! If this didn't have that next ten chapters yet, I would've panicked by now because he can't just walk away like that. OTL
ReplyDeleteBut anywho, no story can end this way. I shall read on! <:
