#35: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

As soon as the alarm started ringing, he silenced it with a practiced hand. Slowly, he opened his eyes before blinking a few times to clear his sleepy mind. He tried as hard as he could to erase the image of his dream. It had been three months since he left Kyōto. He hadn't heard from Mikan again. Though she was quite annoying, he missed her. He missed how he always woke up to see her smiling face. At this moment, he preferred her more than books.
Oh, he still enjoyed reading, but he found himself wanting to know more about her. Did she miss him? It was wishful thinking, but he couldn't help it. He shook his head mentally. If she couldn't talk to her parents about her desires, she might be engaged to someone else now. His heart clenched slightly at that thought. Since he was alone, he sighed loudly. For the past three months, he always thought about her at least once a day. Honestly, even when she had found her place again, she still haunted him. Should he go to Kyōto and see her? No, whatever they had was over, and it should stay that way.

He's still thinking about her! I found that rather sweet, and I do hope they see each other again. I'm actually wishing that each chapter had more than 200 words each, since I feel that this specific word count limits the descriptions and so many other things that you can express.
