#35: Gakuen Alice (Natsume & Mikan)

By routine, a hand instantly shut the crying alarm clock. Without opening his eyes, he put his arm back around his wife's small waist. She mumbled something before going back to sleep. Smiling, he buried his face in her flower-scented hair. Unfortunately, his peaceful morning broke when he heard the door creak open. Pulling away from his wife, he watched his 5-year-old daughter, Kisa, still in her pink pajamas, approach their bed....xXx...
"Otou-san!" she chirped quietly before crawling in between him and his wife.
"What are you doing so early in the morning?"
She frowned. "It's Okaa-san's birthday."
"Okaa-san wants her birthday kiss now."
Kisa gasped before turning to her mother. "Okaa-san!"
After giving her mother a kiss, Kisa left them immediately.
Mikan gazed at him. "Good morning."
He answered by kissing her forehead. "Happy birthday."
"Thank you." She smiled before getting up to meet their older twin sons and Kisa.
Years ago, he found her when she was lost. Months later, she found him when he was lost. Years later, they found each other as husband and wife even though they were five years apart. Their age difference didn't matter as long as they were happy, and they were.

I wasn't expecting this ending. I thought Mikan and Natsume would have a confrontation with Mikan's parents but it looks like you already time skipped into the future. But still it was beautiful. AND YOU GOT MARRIED ALREADY! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! XD

ReplyDeleteThis story was really short. 19 chapters, but still short because of the short chapters, but I really liked it.
ReplyDeleteThe plot wasn't as twisted as I thought it would be, and there isn't much frustrating conflict in it, and I'm not sure if my expectations were just too high, or if this didn't meet my standards. I'd disagree with the latter though, because I got fluffy feels reading this. And if you must know, I'm always up for fluffy feels. <3
The grammar is perfect as well. Your writing is really simple as well; you don't use very deep words, but you're still able to satisfy my love for good narration.
Keep writing please! I know you're no longer on FFN, but I'll still look out for your works. I really like the way you write short chapters but still make your stories feel as complete as full-length ones. <3
